Originally from East London, Callen is a non-binary artist now based in Edinburgh.
Their work, which spans drawing, sculpture, and performance art, centres on a discussion of Gender in contemporary culture from the non-binary perspective. Their current occupation is representing the trans figure in fine art drawing.
Education
Callen received their high school education from a Performing Arts School and College in East London.
They studied their Bachelor with Honours Degree in Literature at The University of East Anglia.
Following on from their Bachelors, Callen was awarded a full scholarship to attend Draw Brighton's two year Atelier where their studies centred on drawing techniques and the figure.
During this time they also enrolled for a novel writing class at New Writing South where they completed their first novel.
In 2018, they relocated to Scotland where they studied their Master of Arts in Fine Art and Humanities at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design.
